BlackHawk Park, De Soto, WI

We spent a little over a month at the Army Corp of Engineers Park as volunteers in De Soto, WI.

When the Mississippi River isn’t flooded or at action level there are many options for camping. Electric sites are available in the upper and the west loop.

The upper loop has lots of mature cottonwood trees and a beautiful view of the main channel of the Mississippi River along with gorgeous sunsets. The upper loop is lower and will flood before the west loop.

The West loop has long level sites and has the bath house with showers. The west loop has immature trees and very little shade.

None of the sites have water or sewer connections.

Blackhawk is a beautiful park in southwest Wisconsin. The rangers and hosts are amazing.
