Things We’ve Learned

Things we’ve learned after leaving Iowa…

… you don’t go camping in the middle of July without any reservations…Our plan was to spend the night in North Dakota at Theodore Roosevelt National camp, but when we arrived the place was full.

Don’t trust the GPS…we drove into Mountain … after driving down a dirt road in the dark to nowhere – we got back on the freeway and tried again…
This time we followed the large signs posted on the freeway and we pulled into Makoshika MT state park after ten o’clock.

Dry camping doesn’t mean you can’t bring in a beer or two…it means absolutely no water.
